Canfelt Along for Convergence

Join Textile Works Gallery on a Mystery Felt Along. Over five weeks you will learn how to make a wide range of hand-felted beads and pendants, resulting in a unique statement piece necklace of your own creation. Each weekend a new set of tutorials will be released online, allowing you to experiment with a range of different felt-making techniques. The tutorials range from very simple beads to wild and wacky creations. You can work on your project anytime, anywhere, over the course of the event. At the conclusion of the online series of tutorials, you will have the opportunity to exhibit your work in either a physical exhibition at Textile Works Gallery, Chifley, ACT (open to the public on Friday 17 September) or in a virtual gallery accessible via the website. Registration for this event is essential. It is recommended that you have a basic knowledge of felt-making. If you don't have enough materials at home, packs of fibre for this event are available for online purchase from Canberra Region Feltmakers. Entry Cost All tickets $25 - This ticket covers general participant registration for the full five week event.
