Exhibition: Archive Apparitions by Elisa deCourcy

Emerging from extensive research into the character and significance of nineteenth century photographic portraits, this series of contemporary daguerrotypes draws attention to the changing resonances of forms of visual culture. Featuring luminaries of contemporary Australia photographic practice and scholarship, these works mediate on colonisation, migration, environmentalism, separation and identity.
