Workshop: Bundle Dyeing

Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA) invites you to join artist and maker Emily Mulvihill two days in the Workshop. Learn how to use natural plants and botanical dyes to create vibrant colours and patterns onto a linen tea towel, tote bag and a fibre fabric of your choice. Emily Mulvihill with guide students in this bundle dyeing process and show how to alter colours using acids, bases and iron and correctly care for bundle dyed fabric. This workshop is suitable for beginners, and those with an interest into dyeing. Price includes all materials include tote bag and linen tea towel. Students are encouraged to bring their own small item of cellulose fibre fabric (cotton, linen, hemp, bamboo) to dye. Entry Cost Adult $300 - Includes all materials, tote bag and linen tea towel.
