Did you know? Lunar New Year marks the first new moon of the lunisolar calendar and hence, a New Year!
Chinese New Year is a holiday in which people honour household and heavenly deities, as well as their ancestors. More modern generations also see the holiday as a time for family to celebrate and come together.
It is a traditional holiday celebrated by many East Asian countries, including China and Vietnam, where families come together and celebrate new beginnings.
