Acrylic fundamentals with Geoff Hayes

This workshop is a one-day introduction to painting with acrylics and is suitable for beginners with no experience as well as artists experienced in other mediums who would like to learn more about working with acrylic paint. Acrylics are a highly versatile, water-based, non-toxic medium. They are very flexible in their application allowing for everything from thin washes to thick impasto. There are also now many new mediums that can be added to the paint to give different effects, such as a glossier finish or thicker texture. This workshop will deliver a good overview of techniques, understanding of a basic palette, basic colour mixing and a chance to experiment to discover your own preferences.
