It is the end of an era of their much-loved Picture House’s life, they are closing for renovations and throwing an almighty bash to celebrate. Since first opening in 1950 the public has never been given the opportunity to be part of the theatre’s history, and they are about to change that.
Come along and write your love letter to the Picture House on a piece of her skin (or walls, if you want the unromantic term). This is your once in a lifetime chance to contribute to a living piece of art that will be documented for historical purposes and maybe even feature in the new Picture House interior when they re-open. Or your ‘love letter’ maybe a handwritten note that could be added to a time capsule of Picture House memorabilia to be unearthed in another 50 years’ time?
