Christmas in Narellan is an annual event hosted by The Greater Narellan Business Chamber as a way to give back to the community. It was started in 2012 as a traditional Christmas carols event enabling local families to come together and celebrate the season in a relaxed and festive environment.
Held at Narellan Town Centre on the 2nd Saturday in November, the program now features local and national entertainers, food stalls, children’s zone, Santa and amusement rides. The event starts at 4.30pm and culminates in the lighting of the town centre’s Christmas tree at 8.30pm.
The event has grown to become the premier Christmas event in the area, attracting several thousand visitors. As a free event for families, funding is raised through sponsorship from local Council and businesses and proceeds from stall holders, rides and amusements.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the event was not able to be held in 2020, however the Committee is hopeful to be able to celebrate the event’s 10th year in style in 2021.
