About

Gledswood is an authentic Australian colonial farm with many of its original buildings from the 1800s. Spend a day at Gledswood to experience an Aussie experience. The farm day activities start at 11:00 am when you meet a stockman by the drovers' campsite where you will have billy tea and damper by the campfire listening to his stories. You will then take in Australian farming history, see the kelpies round up the sheep and bring them in for shearing, see the stockman in action as he shears the sheep, learn about how wool is classed and try your hand at boomerang throwing. The stockman will demonstrate how to crack a whip as he tells you of his travels across our great land. Following your day on the farm, why not drop into their cellar door for an Australian wine or boutique craft beer, or book into one of their Wine Tasting Masterclasses which are held at the cellar door? Due to the popularity of the event, it is recommended to pre-purchase tickets online before the event. There is a maximum of 500 cars, and once this is reached, the gates will be closed. This is to ensure everyone has an enjoyable day and things don't get too crowded.
