Views of the Clarence: Watercolour Painting with Harry Westera

Each week students will paint one or two scenes from the Clarence Valley, ranging from the headwaters in the mountains down to the wide calm expanses of the river towards Yamba. From a large selection of paintings from Harry’s previous exhibitions, class members will have a choice of the images to study. For both beginners and the more experienced, students will consider the elements of light and colour, design and the illusion of distance, as well as a variety of different watercolour techniques to create mood and feeling. The cost includes materials, the kit includes enough paints, paper and a brush for the six weeks of class with plenty left over to continue at home. Students who have previously purchased a kit – paints and paper will be available in the Studio for individual purchase. Entry Cost All tickets $180 - Plus a watercolour kit fee of $80
