Festival of the Miner's Ghost

The Festival of the Miner's Ghost is held annually in Cobar on the last weekend in October. The fireworks display over the open cut quarry is always spectacular. A free music concert held in Drummond Park is one of many features. Markets where you can buy food and all sort of items are a feature. Get in your picnic dinner before you enjoy the music. Other events include and art exhibition, youth events, colour run, sporting events, charity golf day, youth disco, car club show and shine. Different events are added each year.
