About
CHATS Productions Inc is very proud to present Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap”.
The Mousetrap opened on West End on 25th November 1952 and hasn’t closed. It is the longest continually running play in history clocking up almost 67 years in production by the time our show hits the stage. Agatha Christie is more popularly known as an author of detective novels, however, what isn’t known widely is that she was a prolific playwright as well.
The Mousetrap is set in the early 1950’s and introduces 8 diverse characters who are snowed in after a blizzard. One of them has already killed and is looking to murder again. Who is the murderer and who is the intended victim?
All of them hold secrets and, as always with Agatha Christie’s work, the trick for the audience is to work out the red herrings from the relevant motive.
