About
Linocut is a form of relief prinIng. It is the same technique used for the potato prints that you did in kindergarten! You can make mulIple copies from the same linocut block. And, using different coloured inks, you can vary your work in lots of ways. As well as artwork, you can print cards, bookmarks, labels, giS cards and wrapping paper, fabric tops for homemade jam, tee shirts, tea towels and aprons – whatever your imaginaIon, Pinterest, Etsy or YouTube can come up with.
Pablo Picasso used linocut as an art medium: as did the well-loved Australian arIst, Margaret Preston.
