One of Australia’s most acclaimed artists, Ben Quilty, will be guest speaker at the Friends of the Gallery's gala fundraising dinner. Not afraid to speak his mind, Ben will share his thoughts on art; why it matters and the potential to enrich communities. Don’t miss this rare chance to see the brave, creative force that is Ben Quilty. Archibald Winning Painter, War Artist and Activist Believing in art’s capacity to drive change, Ben is a socially engaged artist whose work often responds to issues including human rights. A Trustee of The Art Gallery of NSW, Ben also works with corporate leaders to develop the gallery’s connection with audiences. Fine Food, Wine and Jazz: Enjoy dining while overlooking the spectacular Solitary Islands Marine Park from the Surf Club Restaurant and Bar. A special three course menu featuring the region’s best produce will be complimented by fine wines, beer and soft drinks. Georgie Chorley will lead her trio of talented musicians to deliver their distinct blend of cool jazz and silky vocals. It’s all included in your ticket price!
