About

Renowned for versatile and inventive programs, the Acacia Quartet (violinists Lisa Stewart and Myee Clohessy, violist Stefan Duwe and cellist Anna Martin-Scrase) has performed at the Sydney Opera House, City Recital Hall Sydney and Melbourne Recital Hall. In 2016, they made their international debut in Vancouver, Canada, and in 2017 performed in Berlin, where they recorded three string quartets by Günter Raphael. They have released nine albums, with Blue Silence, the first recording of the complete works for string quartet by Elena Kats-Chernin, nominated for an APRA-AMCOS Art Music Award for Excellence. The Acacia Quartet is passionate about supporting Australian composers, working with young musicians, and sharing their love of music with audiences of all ages. This concert features string quartets by Mozart and Dvorak.
