Madame Flute | Jane Rutter with Marcello Maio

'Madame Flute' features the legendary flautist Jane Rutter with brilliant pianist and piano accordionist Marcello Maio. The atmosphere of a Parisian salon is evoked in their program of cabaret, chansons and classical favourites. This soire´e celebrates all things French, from the elegance of the Baroque period to the racy night-clubs of the 1920’s, with music by Debussy, Faure´, Poulenc, Ravel, Piaf, Aznavour, Claude Bolling, Michel Legrand and Cole Porter. In 2016, Jane Rutter was awarded the prestigious French medal, Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres, for her significant contribution to the art of the French flute. This concert is a celebration of this milestone in her life. An up-close and personal evening of fabulous French music. This concert is presented in a COVID-safe format.
