About

In March folks from across Australia are converging on the site of the Dubbo WestView Drive-in to Bring the Thunder Back to the Bush. Over the weekend they will have everything a car and nostalgia enthusiast could ask for including a screening of the classic Australian cult film Running on Empty on Saturday night on one of the biggest screens in Australia and at the only drive-in West of the Blue Mountains in NSW. It doesn’t stop there, they also have one of Australia’s leading Rockabilly bands The Flattrackkers playing in the afternoon prior to the movie. The Flattrackkers have headlined at all of the best car shows and festivals in Australia and New Zealand. After the movie take part in the cruise that will see cars convoy into the regional city to create a scene that will resemble 1962 in Modesto California as seen in the film American Graffiti. They have worked hard at the WestView Drive-in to keep it in original 1970-80’s condition so it would be great to see those attending to get into the spirit and dress in the decades from the 50’s till the golden 80’s. Entry Cost All tickets $40 - AUD40 per car, legally seating up to seven people.
