Visit the charming town of Dungog over the October Long Weekend for Sculpture on the Farm, an outdoor exhibition held in conjunction with the Dungog Festival.
120 sculptures will be on display in the gardens, paddocks and galleries of Fosterton, a rural cattle property just outside the village. The sculptures are the work of more than 50 artists from Tasmania to Queensland, and all are for sale.
The event kicks off with the ticketed Preview and Gala Opening Ceremony on Friday night. This is the opportunity to wander through the glorious gardens, galleries and paddocks with a glass of bubbly in hand. The exhibition is then open from 9am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday, and 9am-12pm on Monday.
Visitors can vote for their favourite sculpture and the winners of the Sculpture on the Farm People’s Choice Award and the Children’s Choice Award will be announced on Monday at 11am.
Refreshments, sausage sizzle, sandwiches, tea and coffee are available. There is ample parking and a free bus running from the Dungog Visitor Information Centre. Credit card facilities and Art Money are available.
