Lyrical, Narrative & Dramatic Poetry Workshop - with Julie Janson

Award-winning poet Julie Janson will direct you through the process of finding inspiration in things that stir your imagination and creating lyrical, narrative and dramatic poems. This workshop is suitable for beginners and experienced poets. Please Bring: A notebook or laptop, pictures, and a small personal item that stirs the imagination. Workshop Facilitator: Julie Janson is a Burruberongal woman of Darug nation. A novelist, playwright and poet, she was the joint recipient of the Oodgeroo Noonuccal Poetry Prize 2016 and the Judith Wright Poetry Prize 2018. Julie's critically acclaimed novel Benevolence was published in 2020. This workshop is created in facilitation between the South Coast Writers Centre and the River of Art Festival.
