Event held on September 21

Spring Equinox at the Australian Standing Stones

Provided by:

Event runs from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM

The Spring equinox marks the time when the centre of the visible sun is directly above the equator. For the southern hemisphere, this means the days are continuing to get warmer and we move into spring and summer weather. This is a free public event held at the solar noon shadow alignment. Hear an explanation of the alignment and the equinox and witness the solar noon shadow align with the September marker.
