Holbrook Open Gardens

Holbrook’s gala event Art and Gardens will incorporate art, photography, leatherwork, sculpture, garden art, natural landscapes and beautiful gardens. Organisers are expecting to attract visitors and friends to Holbrook from around the region. A special market will take place outside the Anglican Centre on the second Saturday in October and the art show will continue until the following Saturday. his year, five gardens will open during the weekend with lunch provided by local charities. Garden co-ordinator Anne Cox said the gardens include Jody and Rob Martin at ‘Kentish Downs' , Pam and Neil Seymour at ‘Braeside’, Little Billabong, Michael Elvins and Ron Miller at ‘Malabar Park’, Heather and Phil Julian ‘Annandayle’, and Chris and Troy Musgrave at ‘The View’ in Holbrook. The Hospital Auxiliary will provide morning tea and basket lunches at Malabar Park on Saturday, the Adult Riding Group will cater for morning tea and lunch at Kentish Downs on Sunday and Pam Seymour will have her jams and relishes for sale at Braeside during the weekend opening to raise funds for the Billabong Hall.
