Griffith Regional Theatre and Performing Lines present the World Premiere of Sunshine Super Girl – the Evonne Goolagong Story – written and directed by Yorta Yorta/Gunnakurnai playwright Andrea James - a brand new theatre work celebrating the life and achievements of Australia’s best loved sporting legend. A proud Wiradjuri woman, Evonne was born in Griffith and they are thrilled to launch her moving and often funny story here - where it all began. The quintessentially Australian story of a girl from the bush who dared to dream, and overcame incredible odds to become World Number One!
