About

Similar to the cyanotype process, the gum bichromate print (or gum print) is exposed in the sun and developed in tap water. Unlike cyanotypes, a gum print is not restricted to one colour. In this six hour workshop with Raimond de Weerdt from Art of Blue you will learn: An overview of this fascinating 19th century photographic print process; Preparation of the gum mixture, creating a test strip to determine exposure, manipulating the print in its wet state; and How to create finished gum bichromate prints. Each participant will go home with a number of unique visually stunning gum prints to be used for wall decorations or cards. Introductory class suitable for beginners. All materials provided. Entry Cost All tickets $220
