At 5.30pm, the Lantern Parade winds its way through the heart of Lismore’s City Centre with spectacular, larger than life lanterns, illuminated sculptures, parade bands and performers. Making their way to the Quad for a where it climaxes with a breathtaking outdoor theatre featuring fire performance, bonfire and fireworks. There will be market stalls and street food feasts and a very special ticketed dinner to celebrate this year’s 25th birthday. To celebrate this year’s ‘Rivers of Light’ theme, there will be a special event after the Piazza in the Park at Riverside Park from 5.30pm until 6.30pm where a flotilla of canoes, kayaks and tinnies carrying lanterns will meander down the Wilson’s River at dusk.
