The Corner Store Gallery first began as a way to connect regional communities and emerging artists and designers in one of NSW’s premier food and wine destinations. Established in 2014, the boutique gallery housed in a heritage former corner store, is an independently run creative space that supports emerging and established artists and designers from a diverse range of creative mediums — providing an array of workshops, pop ups, and community events. The Corner Store Gallery profiles the best of established and emerging Australian creatives, with curator Madeline Young seeking out colourful and visually arresting aesthetics in either art or design. As an artist herself, Madeline pursues opportunities outside of the established Regional Gallery or informal market stall channels to reach new artists, creators, and audiences. The Corner Store Gallery brings together artists and designers from all over Australia to join the gallery’s creative community, as it rightly takes a seat as one of Australia’s most popular emerging and collaborative art spaces.
