About

The Orange Wild Weekend is a Friday to Sunday experience based in and around Orange, New South Wales. Here nature co-exists on a level all on its own, high in the clouds of the extinct volcano Mount Canobolas. Canobolas comes from ‘coona’ meaning shoulder and ‘booloo’ meaning two, which the Wiradjuri pronounced Ghannabulla. Ghannabulla is a place of spiritual connection for Wiradjuri, and a national park boasting over 950 species of plants and animals co-existing peacefully in their protected habitat, including several species that exist nowhere else in the world. With a focus on sustainability, guests will experience a range of adventures across the three days including bushwalking, native flora spotting with a local botanist, a foraged floral workshop and bespoke food and wine experiences including mushroom foraging. The Orange Wild Weekend experience has been meticulously designed with nature in mind, hosted by Ali Shillington and featuring the region’s talented producers, foragers, conservationists and chefs inspired by the mountain.
