About

7th Hello Koalas Festival Treasure Hunt (established 2017) is the world's first festival celebrating Australia's much loved iconic koala. The Festival is an annual cultural tourism event held in September centred around a four day Treasure Hunt. The Festival has been inspired by the Hello Koalas Sculpture Trail which encompasses 88 fibreglass one metre high koala sculptures, hand-painted by local artists, located in 72 locations on the Mid North Coast. Plus we now have "The Big Koala .. Spirit of All Koalas", our 2.5 metre koala sculpture at Guulabaa, Place of Koala in the new tourism precinct in the Cowarra State Forest, being created by Forestry Corporation in collaboration with four project partners including Hello Koalas Sculpture Trail, WildNets, Koala Conservation Australia and Bunyah Aboriginal Land Council. The Festival Treasure Hunt is an outdoor nature-based cultural experience over four days, presented in partnership with Regional Australia Bank. 40 Hello Koalas sculptures on the Trail have been selected for the 2023 Treasure Hunt discovery adventure around Greater Port Macquarie. Register online or visit Hello Koalas Sculpture Gallery and Gift Shop and receive your set of clues to find all 40 Hello Koalas. Participants receive a Certificate of Achievement. It's free to join in the fun for all the family.
