Over an illustrious 50-year career John Downton has established himself as a leading artist of the area with his stunning oil paintings, and was awarded the Order of Australia in 2017 in recognition of his valuable contribution to Australian art. “This exhibition has been a delight to paint and is inclusive of all aspects of Shoalhaven life.
