Visual Arts in the Valley 2020, held over the October long-weekend in Kangaroo Valley NSW, exhibits the best in contemporary visual arts in Australia’s most beautiful valley.
The signature event is the Kangaroo Valley Art Prize Exhibition (AUD6,000 first prize) with applications opening early August. Curator: Joan Cush – former director of the Goulburn Regional Art Gallery. Judges: Brenda May – owner/curator May Space, formerly Brenda May Gallery and Access Contemporary Art Gallery, Sydney; and Damien Minton – formerly owner/curator Damien Minton Gallery, former coordinator Hughes and Watters Galleries, Sydney.
Visual Arts in the Valley will continue to showcase local Kangaroo Valley artists, this year through a curated Salon of Local Artists.
The event will also host a Kangaroo Valley Art Trail of two premier local studio-galleries. Additional local arts and crafts will be available for sale at the discretion of each studio-gallery.
