Rainbow Chan + Heather Shannon + Alyx Dennison

Inspired by winter landscapes, Rainbow Chan will perform a special ambient set which weaves together field-recordings, live electronics and semi-improvised re-workings of her pop songs. Heather's ambient pieces 'Day at the Beach' and 'Strange Roses' are inspired by her research of the Australian Gothic. This music explores the aesthetics of the Gothic which are associated with dislocation and alienation within landscapes. Heather's music seeks to examine the continuation of the cultural narrative of classical musical structures within Australian landscapes.
