About

Discover the rich history of the former Sydney General Post Office building (GPO) with The Fullerton Hotel Sydney’s, ‘Secrets of Sydney's GPO Walking Tour and High Tea’ experience. The ‘Secrets of Sydney's GPO Walking Tour and High Tea’ experience includes a 90-minute heritage tour and a Fullerton Afternoon Tea. A resident heritage tour guide will take you on a journey through time to explore the building’s vibrant history, dating back to 1874, and discover the stories, tales and legends of the city’s iconic Grand Dame, the Sydney General Post Office building. The heritage tour showcases the GPO’s intricate stonework and sculptures and reveals little-known facts of the GPO, including the once controversial Pitt Street carvings that depict the city’s early life that caused public outcry upon their reveal, and the Tank Stream relics, which facilitated Sydney's original water supply; a pivotal piece of Sydney's cultural heritage. Your heritage tour is followed by an indulgent Fullerton Afternoon Tea experience featuring sweet and savoury delights and your choice of a special winter solstice inspired beverage. Limited spaces are available – bookings are essential. Entry Cost Adult $68
