About
Join the professional team from Sydney Harbour Kayaks on a very special two-hour evening sea kayaking tour. This is a unique and rare opportunity to paddle through Sydney’s iconic harbour and enjoy some refreshments under the moonlight.
Discover the city as you’ve never seen it before with this Sydney Solstice Moonlight Kayaking Experience. As the sun sets over the harbour, you’ll cast off in your kayak and watch the city come to life and illuminate around you, from your floating vantage point.
Your leisurely paddle loop will start at Darling Harbour – the first time kayakers have been able to paddle in this area. Cruise by naval warships and the Sydney Maritime Museum, then glide beside James Craig, a 19th century tall ship. As you begin to round through Darling Harbour towards the Glebe Island Bridge, you can take in the lights of the newly redeveloped Barangaroo from a unique perspective. The heritage-listed Glebe Island Bridge will come in to view, as will the iconic Anzac suspension bridge.
Your tour leaders will then find somewhere nice and sheltered to serve appetisers and refreshments, and you’ll be able to enjoy a moment taking in the evening view. You will then head back into the heart of Darling Harbour, passing the city lights once again and finish the tour where the paddle began.
