The major regional, three-day festival that celebrates the love of words in all its literary endeavours is held over the second weekend of March - 11-13, 2022. Panels and talks, plus Bush Poetry breakfast with Australian icon, Jack Thompson. The Festival kicks off with Business Breakfast on March 11 held in conjunction with Scone Chamber of Commerce. Discussions range from trauma and tragedy to the relevance of the Constitution and Living in 21. Authors and speakers include Nardi Simpson, Tim Elliott, Mandy Bishop, Jonathan Biggins, Debra Oswald and Richard Glover. There are events across the LGA with a literary lunch held in partnership with the CWA in Merriwa, children's creative writing workshops and a short filmmaking workshop with emerging writer and director, Hattie Archibald. Pop-up poetry and a special mime and storytelling performance with Australia's leading mime artist and founder of the Clown Doctors, Jean-Paul Bell.
