Scone Horse Festival

The Scone Horse Festival is back in 2022 with another jammed-packed program. There is something for everyone! Back with all the much loved and favoured events, this year marks the 41st anniversary of the Scone Horse Festival. There is an exciting new event for the horse riding competitors. Keep an eye on the website, as dates will be available very shortly. Be amazed by the extraordinary talent on display by competitors and performers - it is sure to provide everyone with an opportunity to experience something completely different during the festival. The festival is unique and includes events that showcase the versatility of the horse and the important role they play in developing the beautiful Upper Hunter and Scone the ‘Horse Capital of Australia’. Events throughout the festival include live music, a charity rodeo, street parade, sheepdog trials, blacksmith competition, yarns night, cup race days and a finale of fireworks and picnic on the lawn at Lake Glenbawn.
