Crookwell Mary Gilmore Festival

The Crookwell Mary Gilmore Weekend is an annual cultural event held in memory of the locally born Dame Mary Gilmore. The weekend showcases artists, poets, musicians, singers and entertainers. Opening night is on Friday, featuring the Mary Gilmore Festival Concert at the Deck in the Criterion Hotel. (free entry). Saturday is in the Dome Pavilion at the Crookwell Showground, with a Performing Youth Trophy Competition (free entry). Saturday Evening is also at the Crookwell Showground and will feature a Battle Of The Bands Competition, there will be a bar and BBQ available. (charges for this event) Wednesday sees a trophy competition at the Laggan Pub featuring, balladeers, musicians and poets.
