The Wagga Model Aero Club Inc. will be hosting a weekend of model aircraft flying for a variety of radio controlled scale model planes during the October long weekend.
The two day event will be held at the Wagga Model Aero Clubs flying field facility located 12 kilometres south of Wagga Wagga on the Olympic Highway, Uranquinity.
This scale rally is to bring together scale modellers who are passionate enthusiasts in building and flying scaled-down models of real full size aircraft. Some aircraft are likely to have wingspans up to two or three metres and powered by internal combustion or electric motors.
The two day event will showcase all facets of scale model aircraft both military and civilian. Organisers are expecting a good role up of aircraft in all categories which means models of war birds from World War I and II along with other military and civilian aviation aircraft also on showcase.
The public are welcome to attend. See the aircraft up close, talk to the pilots and watch the flying.
Full canteen facilities will be available with a selection of food and drinks.
Grandstand seating is provided along with toilet facilities. Off-road parking is provided. Entry is free.
