Symphonic Sounds II

The Symphonic Sounds experience is coming again to the Wagga Wagga Civic Theatre. Under the direction of Australia’s leading conductor and music educator Mr Graham Abbott, prepare yourself to be captivated by the Riverina's most talented musicians, with Symphonic Sounds II. Setting the mood early for an epic evening of entertainment will be the RCM Student Concert Band and the Riverina Concert Band performing pieces such as Highlights from Gladiator, Yorkshire Ballad and Escher's Dream composed by RCM staff member Kara Williams. Then the Riverina Youth Orchestra will take centre stage to bring you the passion and spectacle of Beethoven’s Symphony No.7, second movement; Offenbach’s masterpiece overture Orphée Aux Enfers (Orpheus in the Underworld); along with Soprano soloist Larissa Burak performing the seductive Seguidilla (from Carmen) and the inspiring Laudate Dominum by Mozart. These pieces and more will be a thrill to experience, come and experience again a night of live music, that will set your spirits soaring.
