About

Join the Bondi Historian for a walk back in time to discover Bondi’s grim and glorious past. Ex-Bondi Beach lifeguard Lawrie Williams will take you on a two-hour walk through the streets and stories of Bondi, divulging tales of Japanese submarine bombings and macabre murder mysteries, 70s’ crime and corruption, famous and infamous local identities and recent and forgotten stories – the Bondi Historian is your ticket to a hitherto unknown Bondi. Each walk is approximately two hours long with some hills but not too strenuous. Unfortunately, not all sites are wheelchair accessible. Click here for more info about Accessibility at Bondi Festival. Presented by: The Bondi Historian Look closer to discover more about our exciting winter festival for the whole family. From 25 June to 11 July, catch some red-hot cabaret, award-winning circus or lung-busting comedy from a hand-picked collection of Australia’s favourite entertainers. You can go for a spin on our world-famous Bondi Festival Ice Rink or Bondi Vista Ferris Wheel, join a Dharawal language workshop, have a sing-along, or simply kick back and enjoy the beach at night with fireside storytelling. Book your tickets now via the website.
