Brisbane Northside's Newest Market The Grassroots Market is a small market focused on all the important things. Fruit & Veggies, Plants, Trash & Treasure, as well as Arts and Craft activities for kids. Conveniently located on the oval at the front of Hendra State School, makes the market very accessible for northsiders. The market runs every Saturday, 7 am to 10 am, with the only exceptions being heavy rain and school holidays. Their Fruit, Veggies and Herbs come directly from farms. Plants for sale include natives, (non-invasive) ornamentals and succulents. Their Trash and Treasure is updated every week with assorted items including children’s books and toys, clothes, small furniture items, bric a brac and more. The Grassroots Market also has a supervised Arts and Crafts area set up with great activities for children. The market is solely run by the Hendra State School P&C and all proceeds go to school P&C projects. Come on over one Saturday for a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, where you can get all your essentials.
