About
Explore the drive for compassion that changed the course of Clermont’s history at the Clermont Historical Centre’s new exhibition Reflections of Resilience.
The exhibition chronicles the colourful past of Clermont’s Hospital and delves into medical tales of resilience.
Explore the make-shift 1960s maternity ward, browse the 1920s-1960s surgical instrument collection and view an authentic World War Two nurse’s uniform.
Be transported through the generations of resilience as you take in the nine-metre long timeline, detailing an era where doctors, nurses and midwifes pioneered medical services in the district.
Kids can enjoy an interactive scavenger hunt on the grounds, uncover clues and win a small prize pack while they explore and learn.
The exhibition runs from 24 March 2021 to 18 December 2021. The Clermont Historical Centre is located on the Gregory Highway and is open Wednesdays to Saturdays from 9am to 3pm.
