About
A free community event to celebrate NAIDOC week hosted by Spirits of the Red Sand. The Indigenous Wild Foods and Cultural Festival features a talented lineup of live entertainment, cultural performances, traditional Welcome to Country and ancient Smoking Ceremony and Fire lighting Corroboree, a seasonal wild foods menu, market stalls, live cultural and cooking demonstrations and bush tucker tours, not to mention tons of free fun kids activities including boomerang and face painting, snake and reptile demonstrations and more.
This free community event honours National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) week and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and is being hosted at the home of Spirits of the Red Sand, 205 Main Street, Beenleigh Queensland (halfway between Brisbane and Gold Coast).
In its third year, the event will be bigger than ever!
Gold Coin donation appreciated toward Beenleigh Historical Village (a non-profit community village). This is a drug and alcohol-free event.
