Floating Land is one of Noosa’s most significant and iconic free entry, all ages cultural events. The first environmental art event program of its kind in Australia (Creative Territories), the biennial event features temporary sculptural installations in nature by acclaimed local, national and international artists. Marking the 11th iteration since 2001, Floating Land At the edge of ideas will have a presence across two key anchor sites, Boreen Point and Noosa's award-winning Park Road Boardwalk. The title by-line, At the edge of ideas, is set to inspire visitors to step out of their comfort zones and consider how their experiences and truths compare with those of others. From the serene shores of Lake Cootharaba at Boreen Point to the rocky outcrops of Noosa National Park, visitors will be invited to experience thoughtful, challenging and environmentally aware works that engage sensitively with these special and spectacular spaces. Entry to the event is free. For more information including the event program, please visit the Floating Land website.
