Part theatre performance, part ‘get up and dance’. The Inaugural Annual Dance Affair is a night at the dance hall like no other! 

Communities will come together in celebration of local people and place, while dancing to some funky and fun music! 

The Inaugural Annual Dance Affair is a part theatre performance, part night of dancing that celebrates local dance culture and history. Created by Queensland performance company, Everybody Now, The Inaugural Annual Dance Affair is created in partnership with local community dance groups and will immerse audiences in an evening of old time and newer forms of dance.  

The show has toured around Australia; however, each time it is created it is bespoke to the local stories and people of that place. It encompasses many styles of dance and will feature a live band, a charming MC, light footed guest stars and local community performances. It’s an entertaining night for the whole community with prizes, supper, Belle of the Ball Award and of course, a meat tray. 

Bring a partner or your best dancing shoes and get ready to hit the floor for a two-step or a twerk, a waltz, cha cha and your funkiest freestyling grooves at The Inaugural Annual Dance Affair!
