South Australian Athletic League and what 'gift' running is, here's the lowdown.
SAAL run an athletics competition where runners compete in handicapped races, the faster you are the further you run. It is known as 'Pro" running as athletes compete for prize money. The two most famous events like this are The Bay Sheffield -held at Glenelg over Christmas and The Stawell Gift - run in country Victoria at Easter.
