About

Celebrate Spring with a relaxing Forest Therapy walk. Be guided to explore the gardens with your senses, science and poetry. Stretch your body and senses as we awaken to Spring. Be immersed in an explosion of colour in the magnificent Emu Valley Rhododendron Gardens! A forest therapy guide helps you to slow down, be present in your body and the environment. Connecting our senses with nature has many health benefits and can help to 'reset' our stress levels and promote good health. Activities include stretching, breathing exercises, sensory activities and mindfulness. These walks are small groups with a maximum of 10 so book early to avoid disappointment. All walks conclude with a simple tea ceremony and the ticket price includes entry to the garden with its many plant varieties, lakes and resident wildlife! Shinrin Yoku/ Forest Bathing originated in Japan as a public health practice and research shows it can help to reduce stress, improve mental health and benefit immune function. Who: Walks are suitable for adults with moderate fitness, who can walk slight inclines. Recommended for ages 12+. Guide and plant enthusiast, Elspeth Brock, is a qualified horticulturalist, certified Forest Therapy Guide with the International Nature and Forest Therapy Alliance (INFTA) and Qi Gong community leader. Entry Cost All tickets $15
