About

In May 2021 BOFA offers both a blended online and an in-cinema film festival (Launceston and Hobart) as research shows an appetite for both formats. BOFA 2021 has 20 Multiplex (DCP) grade in-cinema screenings at Village Cinemas: Fri 30th April – Sun 2nd May in Launceston and Friday 28th - Sunday 30th May, Hobart. These are grouped into eight (8) categories/themes of: Stories of Us (3), World Stories (3), Eat and Drink (2), Chasing Wonder (3), Choices we Make (2), We are Who We Are (3), Climate Action (2) and By Design (2). The free BOFA Online Festival will run from Monday 3rd – Sunday 30 May with 18 stream-able films, which are different from the in-cinema films, but in the same categories as above. Available to viewers nationally. The Online Film Festival provides an excellent channel to take Tasmania to the whole of Australia and to reach all regions of Tasmania, not just the major centres. On the Fridays of 7, 14 and 21 May there will be BOFA Fringe screenings of classic films in quirky Launceston and Hobart locations such as a brewery, a men's outfitters and a restaurant. Entry Cost All tickets $16 - Concessions apply to pensioner or Health care card holders price $18.50, concession $17.00 and bulk buy $16.
