The Glover Art Prize for a Tasmanian landscape is exhibited in the historic village of Evandale, Tasmania in the heart of Glover Country. The prize commemorates the painter John Glover who has been described as the father of Australian Landscape. The exhibition is held in one of the last Australian vernacular wooden show pavilions in Australia and provides a unique experience to view contemporary art. The exhibition runs over 10 days in March and is open to the public. Visitors are also welcomed to the iconic property of Patterdale which John Glover built. The house and garden have been restored and the garden recreated. There are several other National heritage buildings open during the festival and local businesses provide entertainment.
