About

It’s been four years since the death of the iconic Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. The stage show, Respect, is to set to soar again ahead of its third tour, starring the ARIA chart topping artist, Angie Narayan! Respect journeys through Aretha Franklin’s courageous life of love, tragedy, and triumph, while showcasing her greatest hits over the last 50 years. Gold Coast Producer, Monique Cribb of McGee, felt compelled to recreate the story of this bold, phenomenal woman, who not only sold 75 million albums worldwide but was a powerful figure for feminism and civil rights. Angie, who was accurately bestowed the ‘Soul Mama’ title by Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickinson on Australian Idol, has continued to blow audiences away internationally with her ground-breaking voice. Joining Angie on stage are accomplished vocalists and actors, Ezekiel Narayan, Shelley Davies and Asabi Goodman, together with an energetic band! A mind, body and soul experience, Respect is guaranteed to get you up and out of your seat dancing! You can expect all your favourite hits like ‘Natural Woman’, ’Think’, ‘Say A Little Prayer’, ‘I Knew You Were Waiting For Me’, ‘Son of a Preacher Man’, ‘Chain of Fools’ with many laugh out loud moments!
