Portland Toy Run

Provided by:

Event runs from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM

The Heywood to Portland Toy-Run is on again to help raise funds for the Salvation Army to provide Christmas and Food Hampers for residents in the Glenelg Shire. The Toy Run is held between Heywood and Portland for riders that hold a valid motorcycle licence and who ride a registered and roadworthy motorcycle. The Salvation Army does a great job in helping those less fortunate to afford Christmas presents for their kids and this is a great way to show kids and adults what doing good is all about. Riders can bring a toy for ages up to 15 years old or also provide food for Christmas hampers. Donations are also accepted to the Salvation Army. The Toy Run starts in Heywood assembling around 9:00am in front of the Heywood Post Office. Local Heywood shops will be open for coffee or breakfast. The group will depart Heywood at 10:30am and ride to Portland, regrouping opposite Shell Service Station where the Police will guide through town at 11:15am, finishing the ride at the Yacht Club Carpark.
