Thomas and Simone Heywood invite you to join them in the 1873 Lauriston Chapel at Langley Estate for an exclusive performance by the acclaimed Australian trumpeter and Goldfields local, Tristan Rebien. Tristan, accompanied by Thomas on piano, will perform a spectacular program including music by Baroque greats Albinoni and Telemann as well as the mighty Bach himself. The program also includes a complete performance of the Classical composer Johann Neruda’s famous Trumpet Concerto in E-flat major, one of the most beautiful works in the trumpet repertoire. Born in Bendigo in 1985, Tristan began his professional orchestral trumpet playing career with Orchestra Victoria in 2005, where he played for 13 years. He has performed with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra since 2007, and has played as regular guest principal trumpet with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, as well as projects with the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra, Macau Orchestra, and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. The internationally renowned Australian organ virtuoso Thomas Heywood has travelled over 1.2 million kilometres performing solo concerts on the most celebrated pipe organs across the globe. He has an ever-growing repertoire of over 5,000 works and was the first Australian musician in history to live as a professional concert organist. Entry Cost All tickets $35 - Persons under18: free
