About

The Kannamaroo Festival is a family friendly and free community event held annually in November each year in Horsham. The Kannamaroo Festival commenced in 1980 and has been operating ever since. The Festival was originally located on the banks of the Wimmera River and the iconic waterway was the inspiration behind the name of the Festival; 'Kanna' meaning beautiful and 'Amaroo' meaning waterhole. Due to periods of drought over the decades, the Kannamaroo Festival was relocated to Firebrace Street, the heart of Horsham's shopping precinct. Due to amount of rain we have had this year, Kannamaroo is relocating. This years event will be held over three days. Friday November 25, 6:00pm - Family movie in Roberts Place (TBA) Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 November - Carnival, rides and amusements - Horsham Plaza Car Park (Racecourse side) For current information on events and times go to the Facebook page.
